A poem by Joshua Martin

Simplification of a Dart Gun Tropical Gymnasium

You grave a conceded forcefield
the stock market
conceded in the yard
of lighter fluid spider brushes
spoken
like
a
truly
anticlerical
autopsy
uninvolved substitute teacher
demonic invasions earning
enough points to buy a piece
of global economic inequality
posing
a
killer
stated
memento
beneath
lamplight
cellular
hellscape
the yellowing curtain skin
haphazardly erasing bliss
stomach cancer and all
weaving sewing machine
spoiled entrail nail guns
mansions adorned scripture
garbage
rage
pale
floating
neck
spark
constant
suckling
inspiration
alcoholic
cool
nostril
weightlessness
fleeting halo butcher weave
soured laundry eyebrow saw
leaking blade to zine Tom Sawyer
tension taunted secret lawn chair
broadly
flattened
footprints
indicate
pulverize
kissing
fear
of
fear
of
faceless
head
to
toe
sock
puppet
hemoglobin
